Product Database Engineer / Applications Specialist - Data Resource

Location: Burgess Hill

Position/Duration: Contract 3 Month extendable

Salary/Rate: Circa £24k pa / £13.50 per hour PAYE

The role exists to research data on semiconductor and emerging technology process tools and associated company product recommendations, then use this information to develop a database and related SharePoint sites. This database and SharePoint sites provide company sales, marketing and support engineers, with recommendations for company products related to particular semiconductor and emerging technology process tools and applications.

Skills:

The successful candidate will be methodical and logical in approach, showing attention to detail and accuracy. They will be able to demonstrate the ability to work using own initiative. Good influencing, diplomacy and communications skills will be essential to assist the gathering and dissemination of data. Excellent computer literacy is also essential – including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe Acrobat. A good knowledge of SharePoint would also be an advantage.

The candidate should ideally have a science related degree.

Experience:

Demonstrated internet research work and experience with database and spread sheet activity is required.

Knowledge of semiconductor process tools would be an advantage but is not essential providing a willingness to learn is presented.
