Leadership Trainer

To deliver learning and development workshops and training sessions in line with the Leadership Development programme requirements to our Team Leader and Manager population that ensure that managers are: 
1. Operationally competent to fulfil their roles 
2. Able to support business growth plans 
Create effective development events to enable all participants to develop their skill and capability to lead. Provide learning environments that make the transfer of skills into the workplace effective. Support the design of on line resources for leadership development. 
Provide coaching and facilitation before and after events to enable development in the workplace to be optimised. 
This is an individual contributor role although you will work as a team with other leadership trainer and Learning Partners.

Qualifications: 

Ideally CIPD qualified or part qualified
Learning design and delivery methodology 
NLP or MBTI or Insights desirable 
Committed to continued personal development. 

Experience: 

• At least 5 years’ experience of delivering people development solutions across all levels in an organisation 
• Maintained and developed knowledge of up-to-date and cutting edge learning solutions and technologies 
• PC literate including Microsoft Office; Word, Power-point, Outlook, Excel 
• Accredited coach desirable 
• Understanding of the commercial drivers of business. 
• Up to date with external thinking to ensure best practice and most effective methodologies are utilised 

Interfaces: External suppliers. Internal learning and development partners, HR Business Partners & Business Leaders. 

Accountabilities: 

• Work with Learning and Development Partners to develop and deliver of a blend of solutions designed to meet the leadership and management needs identified in the business, aligned to People Development Plans and Talent Review action plans. 
• Develop and deliver the company Management Development Programmes according to demand. 
• Deliver bespoke development solutions agreed with Learning and Development partners to build specific management strength and succession requirements. 
• Work with company partner Universities to develop and deliver leadership events for undergraduates to promote the company and help identify and recruit potential talent. 
• Ensure that all workshop, session and coaching event attendance and completion records are kept. 
• Develop material for delivery via the company Learning station that is aligned to and complementary to instructor led solutions. 
• Develop a blended offering to ensure that development is delivered in ways that maximize its effectiveness for learners and the business. 
• Ensure that you are meeting customers’ fair and reasonable expectations. Question and challenge peers and managers where processes and procedures do not meet these expectations. 
• Ensure that you can demonstrate your activities (and any direct reports) provide fair outcomes for customers and that you challenge activity that does not place customers’ interests at the heart of how we do business. 
• Responsible for the effective identification, management and reporting of risk within your area of responsibility. 
• Ensure there is appropriate debate, discussion and challenge of risks within your areas of responsibility. Enhance the risk management culture within Learning and Development and HR for the effective identification, management and reporting of risk within your area of responsibility. 

Technical: 
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, interpersonal and assertiveness skills 
•Ability to design and develop effective leadership and management skills based learning solutions 
• Ability to identify strengths and development areas through effective coaching / 1:1 skills 
• Ability to identify both individual and group training needs and develop appropriate design solutions for implementation 
• Effective consultancy skills 
• Good feedback and coaching skills 
• Project management
