Purpose of the Job : The Demand Planning BPI specialist is responsible for the development of the business processes that are used for Demand Planning. This includes the ownership and configuration of the SAP based and some existing in house demand planning systems, the support and training of demand planners and the interface with IM for systems development and deployment. This is a key position that sits between the business and the IM function.

Main Responsibilities (Give 6 to 8 main areas of work. State what is to be done to what - the end result e.g. Develop, agree and implement detailed sales plans to increase market share in Europe):

1. Define the business process for all demand planning activities. This defines how the demand planning processes will operate and how the system will support these processes. For larger change projects accountability will be for process design blueprint, system specification and delivery of a tested and workable system to the business

2. Ownership of the APO demand planning system. This includes working with IM to define the technical design of all processes, control of the automated planning cycles and setting of any key master data that controls the process.

3. Development of training material and Operating Procedures. All processes will be formally documented and be compliant with the quality systems. Training material.

4. Ensure compliance with defined processes. Ensure that the defined timetables are adhered to and that users roles are appropriately designed and allocated. This will include ensuring that all compliance (e.g. SOX) requirements are adhered to

5. Identify potential process improvements. In addition to the larger change projects, there will also be smaller process improvements that support drive towards meeting the business operational goals

6. Interface the Demand Planning processes with BW (SAP Business warehouse), Supply Planning and CRM systems.

7. Define the hierarchies and data structures that the business needs to support the forecasting process. This will include the development of any supporting tools and reports that are required to control and audit the process

8. Support of Existing In house systems. There are a number of legacy systems that need to be supported, and the role will be responsible for the strategy to transition these to a use of common SAP APO systems

9. User Support. Act as level 2 user support to answer and resolve user issues.

Education level: Educated to degree level, to include analytical type subjects.

Relevant previous experience:

Min 2 years - SAP Demand Planning Software as business user Min 2 years BW reporting to create and modify reports Min 2 years - Forecasting in an industrial (B to B) environment Responsibility for delivering change management

Language skills: None specified Other skills and knowledge:

Knowledge of business improvement methodologies Microsoft Excel : Create Pivot table, VLOOKUP and import external data. Microsoft Access: Create tables, import/export, crosstab queries.
